· Updated October 2026

Choosing an acrylic manufacturer is a process check, not a brand check. The useful factory is the one that will name the sheet route on the quote, make the sample on the process that will run bulk, and inspect against a signed piece. A low unit price that is silent on those three things is not a selection. This page is a way to compare plants. It is not a ranking, and it is not a data sheet for PMMA.

Key takeaways

Select on evidence: a quote that names sheet route, a sample made the way bulk will be made, and a written inspection against that sample.

A trading company, a sheet distributor, and a fabrication plant are different counterparties. Ask who cuts the part.

In-house laser, CNC, bending, joining, polish, and print matter only if the quote says which of them will be used.

MOQ, sample days, and bulk days are commercial terms. Compare them after the construction matches.

Visit or video the bench if the program is large. A catalog photo of a clean floor is not a process audit.

Sanait’s published terms are one plant’s terms. Use the same checklist on every supplier, including this one.

On this page

What you are actually choosing

Factory, trader, or distributor

Evidence before adjectives

Process capability to confirm

Commercial terms to compare last

How to evaluate a shortlist

Which plant for which job

Red flags

FAQ

Sources

What you are actually choosing

Working rule. Choose the plant that can repeat the signed sample. A manufacturer that cannot say whether the quoted part is cast or extruded has not specified the job. ISO 7823 describes sheet types. It does not certify a display factory. The selection still includes the plant. “Factory direct” on a website is a claim. The test is whether the quote, the sample, and the cartons come from the same address.

Evidence before adjectives

Ask for these before you weigh slogans.

Sheet on the quote. Cast or extruded, and the thickness of each member. Otherwise you are scoring different products.

MOQ is a setup floor, not a material property. Many display plants plan a three-digit first run per design. Sanait’s published planning number for most displays, boxes, trays, and stands is 100 pieces per design. That figure is on their FAQ. It is not an industry statute.

Sample clock starts when the drawing is agreed. Simple parts are often a few working days; assembled or printed pieces take longer. Sanait describes most simple samples in about 2–5 working days.

Bulk clock starts when the sample is signed and the deposit clears. Sanait’s typical published window is about 15–25 business days, varying with quantity and finish.

Freight clock is separate. Air and sea are not the same program.

A plant that quotes a much lower MOQ should be asked whether it is selling leftover sheet, skipping the sample, or changing the sheet route.

How to evaluate a shortlist

Send the same pack to each plant: size, quantity, destination, and whether edges and print matter.

Require each quote to name sheet route, thickness, finish, hardware, and Incoterms.

Order one sample from the finalists. Sign only the piece made the way bulk will be made.

Ask for the inspection list that will be used on the bulk lot.

If the annual volume justifies it, a video walk of the bench — sheet storage, laser or CNC, join, pack — is more informative than a reception photo.

Score the shortlist on process match and inspection, then on landed cost and calendar.
